For Students
- Dashboard & To-Do
- Your dashboard shows work due today, overdue work, work due this week, quizzes closing soon, recent grades, and announcements from your courses. Assignments, quizzes, and discussions with due dates all appear in the same due buckets — discussions are not a separate section. Items disappear from the to-do lists automatically when you submit them.
- Course Home
- Click a course to open its Course Home. It shows quick links to Syllabus, Modules, Schedule, Gradebook, and Discussions, a progress bar for your required activities, and the module you should be working on right now.
- Course Schedule
- Course Home → Schedule (or Course → Schedule) shows a chronological list of all dated assignments, quizzes, discussions, and modules. Use it to plan your week. It is a list view — there is no calendar grid.
- Progress
- Your progress bar counts completed assignments, quizzes, and discussions. Reading text, watching videos, and clicking links do not count. There are no manual mark-complete checkboxes — progress updates automatically when you submit work.
- Modules & Lessons
- Open a course → Modules to see the course content organized by week or unit. Click a module to see its lessons. Click a lesson to read the content. Some lessons include linked assignments, quizzes, or discussions — click the link to go directly to that activity.
- Assignments
- Open a course → Assignments. Click an assignment to read the instructions and submit your response (text, URL, or both depending on the assignment).
- Quizzes
- Open a course → Quizzes. Click a quiz to begin. Answer all questions and click Submit before the availability window closes. Your score is recorded automatically.
- Grades
- Open a course → Gradebook (My Grades) to see all your grades. Recent grades also appear on your Dashboard. Grades include your score, max points, and any instructor comments.
- Discussions
- Open a course → Discussions. Click a thread to read and reply. Some threads require you to post a reply before reading others' responses.
- Syllabus
- Open a course → Syllabus to read course policies, grading breakdown, meeting schedule, and instructor contact info. Your instructor publishes the syllabus before the term begins.
- Inbox
- Click Inbox in the sidebar to read and send private messages. New conversations are started from Inbox → New message.
- Search
- Type in the search bar (top navigation) to search courses, assignments, announcements, discussions, and files across your enrolled courses.
- Notifications
- The bell icon shows your unread notification count. Click it or go to Notifications for the full list. Click Mark all as read to clear the badge.
- Files / Materials
- Open a course → Materials to download files uploaded by your instructor.
